How Muckard Automated Trading Works

What Muckard does

Muckard is software that connects to your cryptocurrency exchange through an API and runs pre-configured trading strategies on your behalf. You remain the account holder on the exchange — Muckard does not take custody of your assets.

Automation can save time and apply rules consistently, but it does not remove market risk. You can lose money, including your full stake, regardless of whether trading is manual or automated.

The connection model

After you create a Muckard account, you connect a supported exchange using API credentials. The connection is used to read balances, place orders, and report activity back to your Muckard dashboard.

You should grant trading-related permissions only. Withdrawal permissions should remain disabled on keys connected to any third-party trading tool, including Muckard.

• You can pause bots or revoke API access at any time
• Dashboard metrics reflect your account activity, not platform-wide marketing figures

Strategies and execution

You select from available strategy presets (or configured parameters where the product allows). Each strategy follows defined rules — for example entries, exits, position sizing limits, and risk controls configured in the product.

When market conditions match a strategy's rules, the system may place orders through the exchange API. When conditions do not match, the bot may wait or skip trades. Periods with few or no trades are normal and depend on strategy design and market conditions.

What you control

You decide whether to start, pause, or stop automation. You choose how much capital is allocated and which strategy settings to use. Muckard provides tools to monitor bots, trades, and realized results from your own account.
